There are so many talented hairstylists across the world, and we now have the ability to see and share their work through the power of social media. As a supporter of those who work so hard to make people look and feel their best – inside and out – Stylie wanted to provide an opportunity for those talented stylists to be recognized for their craft, talent and passion.
Meet the judges
We are now half way through the #COLORJAM2017 Instagram Hair Contest and it’s time we announce the two incredible beauty professionals who will be judging the entries and narrowing down the winners! Allow us to introduce to you, DaShay Johnson and Britt Seva.
DaShay Johnson (@dashay_art), one of our five amazing #HAIRJAM2016 winners, is back to help us judge #COLORJAM2017!
DaShay is far from your average hairstylist. When asked what made him want to become a stylist he replied, “It was truly a gift.” DaShay was raised in his family’s beauty salon, graduated from Roger’s Beauty Academy and 20 years later… he is now an established salon owner, consultant and motivational speaker. He launched DaShay’s Clipper Cutting Education and Training Workshops in 2013 to help hairstylists in the art of clipper cutting techniques.
DaShay’s mindset in both his life and career are nothing short of motivational. Although he is already considered successful, he embraces continuing his education and strengthening his skills. Read here to learn more about DaShay, his best practices, advice and personal inspiration.
Britt Seva (@brittseva), social media and marketing strategist for hairstylists, is also back to help Stylie judge #COLORJAM2017!
Britt is one of the industries most respected business coaches and mentors. After building her clientele behind the chair, she transitioned into business management and stylist coaching. She spent several years speaking publicly at Bay Area cosmetology schools and working directly with salon owners to grow their business before establishing Flourish Salon Business Development, LLC to help stylists, salon and spa owners on a larger scale.
Britt’s mission and commitment is to help hairstylists take their careers to the next level. In other words – to help hairstylists make more money, get more clients, find more free time and create the career of their dreams. Check out some of Britt’s features on the Stylie blog.
~ Special thanks to DaShay and Britt for their loyalty to Stylie and the beauty community ~
The clock is ticking with 1 month left of #COLORJAM2017. Don’t miss your chance to win a CosmoProf gift card, a feature of your work and business on the Stylie blog and social networks… plus bragging rights for a year!
