Three Ways to Get Your Business Booming

Running your own business can be rewarding and taxing all at the same time. Making sure you are taking care of all the little details plus trying to grow it can be downright overwhelming. Below are three steps you can take to help manage, organize and grow your business. Maybe at first you take one step, or maybe you find ways of implementing all three. Either way, these will help you get that boost you have been wanting to see in your business.

1. Maximize on customer connections

Today more and more brands are finding out the importance of building loyalty with their clients. It’s more than just providing the products they want, it’s also connecting with them emotionally. Harvard Business Review conducted a study on the importance of emotional connection for customers. They found that On a lifetime value basis, emotionally connected customers are more than twice as valuable as highly satisfied customers. These emotionally connected customers buy more of your products and services, visit you more often, exhibit less price sensitivity, pay more attention to your communications, follow your advice, and recommend you more” (Read article here)

Here is the advantage you have… the beauty industry has known this for years. How often has it been said that you’re not just a hair stylist but on some days you’re a confident, advice giver or even a therapist? There is a connection with your clients that have been part of this Industry that others are now trying to maximize on. You already have a leg up on the rest of the business world!!

So how do you build on this so that people are coming and sitting in your share and visiting your suite and not the one next door? You find ways to maximize on those connection! Instead of just remembering their preferred services and maybe their profession, you dig deeper and get to know their hobbies, what restaurants they enjoy or where all they have traveled. All these little details will lead to them feeling a deeper emotional connection meaning they will “buy more of your products and services, visit you more often, exhibit less price sensitivity, pay more attention to your communications, follow your advice, and recommend you more”

Remembering and trying to keep track of all this for each client is going to be hard! If you are like me, you forget what you had for breakfast that morning. Tools like Stylie One allow you to keep track of notes and comments for each client that will help you build on the relationship and ultimately make them feel more comfortable when sitting in your chair.

2. Automate, Automate, Automate

Time is a precious! How many times have you heard that? Better yet how many times have you thought that or felt like you just don’t have enough time to do what you really enjoy doing? Maybe that is spending more time with each client building that connection. Or maybe it’s getting home and being able to spend time with your family instead of having to spend hours following up and getting ready for the next day. At times, no matter how hard you try, it can feel like you can’t get that extra time while still trying to grow your business. But what if you can?!?

Take as many of those little daily tasks that rob you of your time and find ways to automate them. Today there are countless tools that can help you with this, from sending out client appointment reminders, automated emails to let them know you are thinking about them and even marketing yourself to new clients. There are tools such as Stylie One that work for you in the background taking on all those little details that rob you of your time.

Now not only will you have more time to invest back into your business and spend with your family, but you will have the peace of mind that things aren’t falling through the cracks.

3. Get connected- meet your clients where they are

We now live in a digital age! Just about everything we need to know or want can be accessed with a few short taps on our mobile devices. Not only that, but we have gone from a population that checks in online 2 to 3 times a day to constantly being connected throughout the day. Don’t believe me? Go stand at a park for a few minutes and watch what people are doing as they sit on the bench. Watch people waiting to take off on a plane or even standing in line at…..anywhere really.  We as a population are constantly connected.

With that comes the expectations of being able to access anything we need through our mobile devices. If we want the latest outfit from our favorite store we can go online and purchase! If we want food, we jump online to order it. And if we want to know about a certain restaurant, we can log in and read reviews. We have gotten to where we can now grocery shop, make doctors’ appointments and call a taxi from the convenience of our phones.

This is the age in which most of your clients are living. They want the convenience and ease of being able to find you, see what you have to offer and know how to book with you on their phone! If you aren’t even searchable, they are going to go with someone they can see and you’re missing all that opportunity. Clients not only want to find you online but they have already come to expect it.  Maybe you aren’t ready to go full blown with online booking and that’s okay. But find a way that you can have a web presence so people can find you and review your work. Stylie One’s booking platform allows you to be present, show off your work and services and be searchable. Then when you are ready to launch online booking, you will already be set up and ready to go. And who knows, you may be surprised by how much time you get back and how much stress you let go! 😊
